The days of green seamers in April have long gone, they used to be a real test for batsmen this time of year and bowlers could cash in. I think it’s a combination of improved Groundkeepers skills added to the severe punishment handed out by the ECB for pitches that fall below what they believe to be the required standard. It will get more interesting later in the season when teams need to win and pitches are being reused.

Im unfortunate enough to know a bit part Cov fan (well he’s from Cov, still lives there but supports Man Utd first) Cov now his second team and his smirking face really annoyed me last time I saw him, he couldn’t suppress a smile when asking what was going wrong with us.
