I think it depends on who our manager is and how they play to be honest. I’d love to see him succeed but I just wonder if his confidence is shot with us now. Be interesting to see if he starts on Sunday

I’m not sure Southampton were that hopeful to be honest. They had their team somewhat decimated, had a load of young unproven players and were just down in the dumps. I think Leeds were way more fancied than them that season. I’m no Martin fan, in fact totally agree with you on Rohl and what he did but just don’t want to overstate how much Saints were seen as super strong, just because they came down with us

Fairly decent performance. Liverpool could have had tons though but we defended so much better. bit disappointed we didn’t really attack TAA when he came on (everything seems to go down right once buona came on) as he has been their defensive frailty and was on a yellow too after the goal, and Stephy had a really good game as well and did well against Bradley. last few after we were down a goal though was annoying. No real urgency to even just say eff it and go for it and give the crowd something to get behind. well we are down. It’s deserved. Just see what happens now and hope we are more focused on proper prep for next season. This one is / was moribund

Way more likely to play as a youth for Man City than with us! Embarrassing that we have this relative wealth of riches and are doing so poorly but they still don’t get a look in. Hearing Ruud going on so much about Monga and other youth training and being on the bench is like teenage me hearing about Halle Berry in Swordfish. A lot of build up for not much…

Totally agree. Nearly every point we got under Cooper felt like a robbery. Last min equalisers or winners, Mads consistently having worldies. Massively over achieved points vs expected points. But not in a way that was sustainable I think it stings more that we had such a great start under Ruud with the West Ham game and Brighton games and then the wheels came off spectacularly against Newcastle. Let’s not talk about that Wolves game ever again. Liverpool and Man City gave us false hope, Villa we should have got more. QPR again was perhaps.. especially with the run of beatable opposition that followed. Pathetic against Palace (maybe I am being harsh but that was winnable!) and Fulham, with that Spurs match again false optimism. Everton game? 🤮 Sorry for walk down memory lane. TLDR? Ruud > Cooper

Mate, I think you are getting a little too wrapped up in taking the article literally. It didn’t say Facundo was the only one on the end of it. If it came from the players then they’ll want to spread the narrative he picked on a single player but I don’t imagine for a second he did. These leaks have been going on a while so it makes me think it’s a tenured player. I’m not saying it is him (I’m not saying it’s not) but Vardy or whoever is hardly gonna say “oh he picked on me for missing sitters”. As many have said, this whole team as been poor for ages and the problems we have created for ourselves are not due to coaching problems but individual mistakes. It’s a fact Facundo has been directly responsible for us conceding and if he’s been instructed explicitly to not fart about on the edge of our box or play Hollywood stuff then good on the manager (any manager) to rollock him or any other player that doesn’t stick to the plan). RVN clearly made a tactical adjustment last couple of matches (while we were level and not chasing) to keep JJ more at home and stay compact, and then we concede by letting teams waltz through the middle untracked. I’d be fuming at that. Bottom line, I don’t think he bullied one player but I do think he lost his nut at them
