Still no news on what tonight’s Panorama special will be about. A lot of rumours it will name another comedian caught up in similar allegations to Brand, but interesting to see what it’s about.

Plenty of great players in Leicester’s history have played parts in relegations. From Wellington, Weller and Shilton through Lineker, McAllister and Smith through Izzet, Elliott and Walsh (two relegations each actually). The idea you want a player dropped who is playing well for us and helping us currently be on course for promotion, because he played a part in relegation last season, is utterly absurd. I can only assume you’re a younger fan who has never experienced relegation before. It can be a bit shit, sure, but it’s a temporary feeling that will be forgotten about in 2 years time if we get promoted again. Vestegaard is currently playing very well, there is absolutely no need to drop him for Coady or Souttar right now when we’re going on as it is. Certainly not for reasons that have nothing to do with his current level of performances.

Looks like going with the Gaffney/Wellard combo just paid off.

Live Match Streaming Service - Failure with No Refund
Sampson replied to CharlieTraveller's topic in Leicester City Forum
True. I know that many don’t understand this when they book hotel rooms through 3rd party websites like booking.com or Expedia or with flights through a travel agent for example, you have a contract with booking.com or the travel agents not the hotel or airline. Then if things go wrong, the hotel or airline won’t be able to refund you directly, you have to contact booking.com or the travel agents who have limited customer service times and it becomes more of a pain to get a refund via them. So it’s always better to book directly on the hotel or airline’s websites. -
https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20230928-the-mysteries-of-the-worlds-eighth-continent This is so cool. Never knew and till today that New Zealand is actually a big. continent, just that most of it is underwater

Albrighton can’t be far off being 2nd too.

Surprised not more has been made of it. Remember in the dark ages of 2004-08 where we changed the squad every season and it felt like the kind of players who would rack up 300+ appearances were a thing of the past. Brilliant to see Albrighton reach 300 appearances alongside King, Schmeichel, Vardy and Morgan. Brilliant player for us over the years, regardless of how much he still has or doesn’t have left in the tank.

I think a lot of it is social media and 24/7 news coverage and globalisation because of the internet. I think globalisation is a very good thing in general and essential to the survival of the human race, but we never really saw and heard of the effects of so many awful things going on round the world in the past and if they were they were to people you didn’t know. There wouldn’t have been the footage of the disasters in the same way in Morocco and Libya for example and you’d have never met anyone from those countries back in the day, now it’s quite possible you meet someone from Morocco or Libya in your everyday life in tbe UK (one of best friend’s wife is Moroccan for example) and that makes it hit home harder. This will inevitably make you emphasise more with people from outside the uk which is inherently a good thing, but can certainly be draining with so much going on in the world. But I think these stressful and awful things were there, they just weren’t covered on the news or posted about on social media and you didn’t have so many real people from other countries you’d interact with day to day so it never hit home quite as much.

4 years? Feels a bit like when we gave an injured Matty James a 4 year deal. Feels like the club haven't learnt.

I’m not sure this kind of policy will be popular with the middle ground tbh. It’s about as red meat as they come. It speaks more to me of accepting they’ve lost the next election and setting themselves apart from Labour for the following 2029/30 election, because they know Labour will have to pick up the excessive application backlog in the home office caused by chronic understaffing. They can then say “Labour had a policy different to our ours, this wouldn’t happen under us”, even if the issue was something they inherited from the current Tory government, people forget these things within 5 years.

She is beyond parody, she is the living indictment of that old joke: "How would you define being British?" "Being British is about driving your German car home from work, stopping off for a pint of Danish beer at an Irish pub, then going home and getting an Indian takeaway to eat on your Swedish furniture, while watching American tv shows on your Japanese TV, all the while being suspicious of anything foreign."

We couldn’t buy him because we sold Fofana though before of FFP and he’d already gone by that point. Not sure it was a miss really so much as just not able to do it, it was wasting all that money the summer before on the likes of Daka and Soumare which was the mistake.

When someone says “okay, x” With x usually referring to the person or oganusation they’re defending or some generic put down. Was funny 5 years ago but is an old joke now and a bad arguing or critical thinking technique and usually done by someone who knows they’ve lost the argument but can’t resist having the final word. Cue the “ok, something” response to this post…

Every time he scores it’s like I’m mentally chalking off the numbers to 200 goals for us. I still think it’s unlikely but starting to think he can get anywhere from 15-25 goals for us this season. He’s already on 4

Am I blind or has the Vardy appreciation thread disappeared?

**** me. Justin saved us there

Virtually every other player would be getting absolutely slaughtered if they’d been as sloppy as Ricardo has today.

That’s how you take a penalty

Edit fixed now -
Ricardo doesn’t half get let off from his mistakes based on the fact he was a great player 3 years ago

I got it working after trying again to buy another pass but have now been charged twice. -
Don’t be daft. It will make absolutely no difference on next season if we go up as Champions or runners-up. It’s very common for the previous season’s runners-up to finish ahead of the champions in the PL. It won’t be a “disappointment” at all, everyone will be celebrating the promotion.
