No. Not making excuses. Just highlighting that wages don’t = motivation in any walk of life.

Problem is that there’s no correlation between salary and motivation. In fact, it can often have the opposite effect. That’s not a football thing - that’s a human thing. A slump is hard to get over no matter how much you’re paid.
