Regardless of the clubs involved I’d rather have points between us and third than us and second. Winning the league would be nice, but automatic promotion is what really matters.

Am I the only one quite happy to see a roll of the dice on the striker front, enforced or otherwise? Like Vestergaard, Daka is capable of being a very good player for us. I hope he does well today and gets a run.

So dramatic 😂 Wasn't the best game, granted. But when it’s been good this season, it’s been really good. But I guess you wouldn’t know because you’ve been too busy telling everyone that you’re better than LCFC these days instead of watching the football.

All this grumbling! I do get it, to an extent. But I wonder to what extent this is simply Maresca meeting the brief. We have to get promoted. It would be disastrous not to. And so he’s playing the percentages with a superior squad. Ultimately, playing this way should win us enough games to get automatic promotion. A possession-based style that takes advantage of better players and doesn’t over-exert them. It’s a bit like Team Sky in the cycling. Get the most from a superior squad and just break the opposition. A fairly boring watch, but it works. You can see that with some better players it could be an exciting watch though. There are times this season where I’ve found it fascinating. Thought the first 15 was really interesting yesterday before it got all sloppy.

Top of J3 quietest place I’ve sat. Almost silent apart from me and my lad until we scored. Felt a bit embarrassed. People just nattering about anything other than the football. Great view but won’t be back there.

Enjoyed that… in the end. Frustrating lack of class at times - lots of sloppiness. Like they’re too casual. immense at the back. Vestergaard class. Loved Wout’s mazy dribble. Kelechi is dreadful at the moment. Watford absolutely dreadful. Seemed to have given up before they even started. J3 the quietest bit of the ground I’ve ever sat in. Only me and my lad singing until we scored the first. People nattering about their weekend plans for most of the game. Was a bit embarrassing.
