Haydos Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 Never understood people who do the big shop at Tesco - they charge more than Asda, Morrisons etc without offering anything different, just spend more on marketing Aldi/Lidl are definitely on the up and deservedly so - they offer quality stuff for way less than the competition. I would use Aldi/Lidl more but I end up having to go to Asda/Morrisons for bits I can't get Tescos... I'll nip to the Express now and then because it's the nearest thing to me but the prices on most stuff is extortionate and they purposefully don't stock any of the deals Eh? Nearly every shop I do in there I save money on their price check thing. Last time the receipt said I'd saved about £7 on a £40 shop. They have half price/2 for 1's on a lot of things I buy and everything else is reasonably priced. A lot of veg is now only 49p for the bag, milk and bread are less than a quid, they've always got at least 1 brand of most stuff half price (meat/cheese/etc). Unless you're talking about pennies here and there I really have a hard time believing they're more expensive.
Fox92 Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 Tesco have recently shut my local convenience store down. They've also bought a load of land to build a new Tesco, but nothing has happened apart from the demolishment of a previous building. It's all been fenced off for about three years now. As I shop, I prefer both Asda and Morrisons.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 I don't like Tesco overly, but my step daughter works for them, and we therefore get discount.
Vacamion Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 demolishment You meant demolishmentisationdomness, no?
Tommy G Posted 23 April 2015 Posted 23 April 2015 Shop at lidl as the quality far out strips tesco. I think tesco is really poor in comparison to more ''main tream supermarkets''
ramboacdc Posted 23 April 2015 Posted 23 April 2015 have they tried doubling their clubcard points to try and save some dough here?
