Im football mad but not sure the wife would enjoy anything to do with football. Think Manchester has been decided now. Just need to find a nice hotel. Premier Inn only £39 if we book it now but i dont want to stay their for our anniversary. Looking at MediaCity now at Jamie Olivers restaurant. Can you recommend any good restaurants?

Manchester house is a really nice restaurant. Cocktails at Mr Coopers House. Victoria warehouse is a decent hotel as well.

House, house, house.

A man had been married to his childhood sweetheart for seven years.

On the special day he took her out for her a meal, looked into her eyes and told her this was a very special anniversary.

"Why" she said with excited anticipation, hoping that he would produce an expensive ring as a token of his love.

"Because it's our last" he said.

Currently looking at Macdonald hotel and Spa or the Hallmark. Thanks for all your suggestions

I've stayed at the macdonald with the missus before. Really nice place, handy if you're on the train as it's bang next to the station. It's right on the outskirts of town, 10 to 15 mins walk to the main bars and shopping areas though.

We stayed there when we went to see a concert at the etihad so was pretty convenient for there. Rooms are really good. We only had breakfast in the restaurant but that was good too. Didn't try the spa but another couple we met said it was great.

So long as you get her some flowers, moderately pissed and a decent hotel room she should be dripping like a fried egg sandwich and that's really all you need...

I booked the room at Macdonald hotel and spa yesterday. Executive King with Walk in Shower and Seperate Bathtub. Gonna book flowers to be in the room on arrival and Groupon have got a cocktail deal at Bierkeller. So basically she is going to get ANNIHILATED
