Deucalion Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 For various reasons, we decided not to renew our season tickets for next season. We had a change of heart yesterday and were desperate to renew. We miraculously managed to buy some today (Thank you nameless one if you are reading !!) but our usual seats in the West Stand had already gone. Therefore we are in the seats above. I used to go in the Kop at Filbert Street but haven't been there for a while. I know roughly how high up these seats will be, which is about the height I like, but wonder whether anyone else can tell me what to expect of these seats? Are they nearer the goal or the touchline? Am I sitting next to Bernie !! Any help would be greatly appreciated !!
foxfanazer Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 For family reasons I didn't renew but now things have changed and I'm desperate to get one. I really am gutted about it but there doesn't seem to be much hope
Spudulike Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 The only bad seats that I've had in Sk2 (or anywhere else) was in the row where the Kop End cross bar was directly in eyesight line with the Family Stand goal. Can't remember which row that was but if it was G then I'd asked to be moved. I thought they'd sold out.

foxfanazer Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Give 'em a ring and see.Yeah I should really. Just thought it was a complete non starter
promised land Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 I'm quite a few rows higher up in the same numbered seats, you're in the centre block right behind the goal. 7 or so rows up so close to the pitch. Bernie sits in the corner of SK1/ east stand, front row where the cheese shaped blocks go right to the point. My view. You'll more or less be where those two flags are just to the right of goal.

Renart Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 The only bad seats that I've had in Sk2 (or anywhere else) was in the row where the Kop End cross bar was directly in eyesight line with the Family Stand goal. Can't remember which row that was but if it was G then I'd asked to be moved. I thought they'd sold out. I think that is around row E. I have sat in Row E, directly behind the goal and I got over it for the one match but could see it being infuriating over a period of time. Wouldn't choose them. Maybe Row G is better? We said at the time you would only have to be a couple of rows back to either not have to duck or sit up (generally change your natural position) on a regular basis.
Fox92 Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 You're near me. I sit row H Behind the goal, just above the crossbar. It's a good view.

Karljohn Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 That's fantastic, thanks !! These were actually my seats!! We had 136/37/38 on G...They are great seats and the fans around you are great too. I had to drop these as my wife now works Saturday's and my lad also plays football.
Deucalion Posted 25 May 2015 Author Posted 25 May 2015 Karljohn - Sorry your wife and son aren't able to go anymore but thanks for that pic. The seats look great !! It's just me and my wife and we are glad we were able to get seats as we thought we would miss out. The fact they actually look like great seats is a bonus !!
Livid Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Did anyone see Bernie yesterday? I looked across to where he usually sits and didn't see him. May have nipped to the gents?

Livid Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 He was there first half but didn't see him after that. He was absolutely wasted pre match Was feeling slightly concerned for him.......slightly....or more worrying he was moving seats next to me.
promised land Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 He was there first half but didn't see him after that. He was absolutely wasted pre match Wasted? Totally gone before he was anywhere near the ground, I saw him near the Freemans, Victory pubs that were (Granby halls for the young ones) and he was abusing and shouting at anyone walking by him into town, including single women. Of course they gave him one look and took a wide birth around him.
Voll Blau Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Did anyone see Bernie yesterday? I looked across to where he usually sits and didn't see him. May have nipped to the gents? Saw him hobbling down Burnmoor Street. He didn't seem any worse than usual?
Benguin Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Did anyone see Bernie yesterday? I looked across to where he usually sits and didn't see him. May have nipped to the gents? He was moaning about something to a steward on the corner of block G just before half time, not sure what though
