Do Leicester fans have class?

Recommended Posts

The ops question was do Leicester Fans have class. The answer is sadly only some of us. But I put a lot of it down to immaturity.

As to Cambiasso not resigning, does anyone know why. Has he been offer the same or better terms to stay.? Maybe he wanted a coaching role included which wasn't offered.  I'm certain he has too much class to say certainly in the papers. So done the honourable thing and just declined our offer.

He said quite clearly that he wasnt interested in a coaching role. Yet so many fans are still mentioning it as a possible factor?

If he goes to West Ham its a money decision only.

All this living in London bullshit is just that. Bullshit. He could live in London and play for us with no problems at all.

Some Leicester fans may have class but they also have rose tinted specs when it comes to this guy. He's basically no different to any other footballer as in its all about the money.

He's a mercenary but professional with it. I'd be interested to watch all the games he played for us again. Many people are giving it the 'best player i've ever seen in a Leicester shirt' but the last 9 games aside, I cant get with that at all.

Will I give him a hard time? No. Will I applaud him and sing 'He's magic...' if he returns with West Ham? Fvck no.

He's just another player in Leicesters past for me.

He could have swanned around, collected his large paycheque and not damaged his legacy. Instead, he really did give everything for the cause, and if you can't see the influence he had on the team during those last games then you're blind-he ran the whole show.

Now given all that, if you're him, why drag your feet? Well, the manager's son was caught first week of the off season being a pretty massive tool, so you see what happens there before signing. Then the manager is sacked-do you re-sign without knowing who you'll play for? I think waiting and seeing is a fair response. It seems pretty clear he doesn't like Ranieri, and within a few days of him joining Esteban says thanks, loved my time but I'm off.

I think we need to be less sensitive about why he's going-he was very clear when he joined that NP and his team were crucial in persuading him. Well, he's played under CR, and doesn't want to again. Sad, but not a value judgement on the city/fans/club-just about his prospective boss...

It's gutting, but it's completely reasonable. If we have class, he should have one chorus of he's magic regardless of who he returns with (if anyone), applause at the end, and then move on.

I'm bored with the whole Cambiasso saga.

He was here for 1 year. he did a great job. he moved on.

I enjoyed watching him and he made a fantastic contribution in his single year here, but to suggest he was the only reason we stayed up is disrespectful to the other players and staff at the club........added to which he has significantly disadvantaged us by dicking us around before saying no thanks, whereas he could have made a decision earlier...he's perfectly entitled to look after his own needs first and thats what he has done.....good player but not an LCFC great in my book....sorry.

No booing but no applause either.

He didnt 'run the show' at all. He played his part in a magnificent team effort.

From back to front the energy and effort levels cranked up. He contributed yes. Was he class? Yes. Did he decide he wasnt staying before the end of the season? Apparently so.

All this one last chorus stuff is cringeworthy. Mark Albrighton played a huge part in our survival. If he was sold tomorrow, would we be lining up to kiss his boots in thanks? I doubt it.

There is no sensitivity about why he's leaving as its clearly financial. His representatives were touting him around last summer right up until him signing with us and I could see a situation if Ranieri hadnt gone public with his 'yes/no' ultimatum, the same thing happening again.

He's gone, we move on. If he returns with West Ham, i'm sure many will sing and applaud his every move.

Personally, I think it's disrespectful to whoever his replacement would be and I'd prefer to sing their name.

I dont believe it is just about the money with him, I'm sure last season he would have had more lucrative offers than ours (MLS, Qatar, Russia) same this season.

Fact is this season will never be as special as last season, so why not take a new challenge?

As for the he could live in London and play for us, why bother? Why take on the commute? For someone with a proper emotional attachment eg Andy King it might make sense if his misses decided to move the family to London but Cambiasso was just a model professional for a year he's not a Leicester fan.
