Surely there are more comfortable nicer looking clothing items that would be more fitting? it's all about flying the flag I think. Being proud of where you're from and who you support. Thats certainly it in my case. Day after Sunderland away I went to Tenerife. Got in the lift after checking in and in walk two Sunderland fans. Shook my hand, congratulated me on our survival. Nice blokes.

They didn't have one. Was under pressure by the lads to donate my Topps Tiles one, but the missus had bought it me the week before so it was going nowhere
