Aus Fox Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Robert Ullathorn broke his ankle after 11 minutes on debut against Wimbledon the year we won the league cup. The broke his leg again against Chelsea?? Which ended his carer with us. Also got injured in the battle of bramal lane, causing the game to be called off after Sheff Utd went down to about 4 players
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Marko FutacsNo idea why i remeber him so much because he was pretty useless
Leicester_Numan Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Laurie Cunningham, he was absolutely outstanding when we beat Man Utd 3-0. I still have a good memory of that game but him in particular tearing them a new one even though he didn't score.
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Anyone remember Kerrea Gilbert? Now playing well down the leagues I believe.

Facecloth Posted 25 August 2015 Author Posted 25 August 2015 How the **** is Kerrea Gilbert playing non league football at 28 He looked great in league one He's not, he's been without a club for a year!
Richard Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Greg Cunningham. Maybe it was just because he succeeded Ryan McGivern that he looked better
Durnerz Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Matt piper looked so promising at one point He was brilliant, genuinely gutted when we had to sell him, remember him mugging Melchiot off in the home game with Chelsea. Shame he got injuries so early in his career.
body102 Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Jean-Michel (Mich) d'Avray He had a brief spell on loan to Leicester City where he made three appearances during the 1986–87 season. I remember skipping work eperience to go Tottenham away on a wednesday night , think we lost 5-0 or 5-1 . D'avaray was ruddy awful
SB87_LCFC Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Dean Sturridge. I remember he seemed to be quite prolific for us yet scored 6 in 22 matches. Remember he scored a hat-trick in pre-season in a 3-3 draw against Fiorentina...managed by Roberto Mancini!
SB87_LCFC Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 The more recent Tommy Wright. Scored the winner in the 1-0 against Forest when we were promoted under Micky Adams and I think that was it, wasn't it? In my memory he was very near the first team for a long, long time. Edit: He got one other goal. 21 apps in 5 years! Last I heard player-manager at Corby Town?
big stodge Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Lee Morris, but for all the wrong reasons. 10 games - no goals. Matt Piper. Was a star in the making. I used to play with his dad, Mark. Top bloke. Astrit Ajdarevic. Remember reading he was supposed to be the next big thing when he was at Liverpool.
stockyfox Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 For those who may remember, I recall two players from the Fifties:- John Doherty- a true 'Busby-Babe - but only made 12 apps but scored 5 goals and Bernard Kelly - scored 15 goals in 27 apps.
Facecloth Posted 27 August 2015 Author Posted 27 August 2015 Matt Jones 27 games and 4 goals in 4 years.
