cisono Posted 6 September 2005 Posted 6 September 2005 Bloody annoying all of them! The increase in numbers is possibly due to high temperatures? Still, at least hardly any mosquitoes so far... In Italy they now have tiger mosquitoes too... unlike the "traditional variety" that bites after dusk, these tiger ones bite during the day and you don't even hear them... by the time you spot the bite, it's *HUGE* (and very itchy)

In the good old days, it used to be cold enough in winter to kill both the creatures (in particular arachnids, see I can't even write the proper word down ) and the larvae. However in recent years it hasn't been cold enough so 'they' are not only getting older and consequently bigger, but there's more of them about. :cry:
