kingcarr21 Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Jamie Vardy is having quite a year. He helped keep Leicester up last season, got called up to the England squad and is now the Premier League's top scorer. And now the striker has been nominated for the Football Supporters' Federation's player of the year award. Vardy is up against David De Gea, Alexis Sanchez, Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane and John Stones for the award. What a year he has had for us. Do you think he has a chance of winning? It is a fairytale story. A truly phenomenal year.
MikeyT Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 He won't win. He thoroughly deserves to, but it won't happen. Bet flipping Kane wins!
bmt Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 I am going to put myself out here and say that Kane winning wouldn't be too outrageous or wrong. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/2015-16/nov/031115-matchweek11-spurs-vs-aston-villa-statistics.html Simply put he's scored the most goals this calendar year. I don't particularly rate him but could see the argument for him winning.
AKCJ Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 To be honest, Dec Gear should win. Edit: ****ing autocorrect.
AKCJ Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Big Jim should win Supporter Liason of the year just for that celebration imo.
stevelcfc Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 He should win, but it will almost inevitablely be De gea or Alexis
Buzzell Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Vardy should win it but obviously he won't get the recognition he deserves. Sanchez or Kane will get it. EDIT: Just realised it was Player of the Year, it should go to Sanchez tbf. Nice if Vardy gets it.
filbertway Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Hasn't Vardy only really performed for 3 or 4 months of this calendar year. Surely Sanchez who blue everyones nips off last season and has started alright this year should get it. Or De Gea, he was pretty boss.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 It'd be nice to see but I couldn't complain if Sanchez won it.
AKCJ Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Vardy shouldn't win it. He was anonymous for the first 3 months. It should go to the most consistently good player and that has undoubtedly been De Gea. The others have had drops in form/injuries.
Guest Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 He hasn't even been POTM in 2015 so not sure why people think he'd be POTY. He's playing great for us but let's not claim he's the best player in the league just yet. Most of you on here had Cambiasso as our POTS so it's a leap for him to be POTY.
ScouseFox Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 he's been pretty amazing since everton away which was in february. considering everyone is saying de gea should win it and he didn't even play let alone play well for a month and a half i'm not sure what the difference is?
