Shinji's goal makes ESPN Sportscenter Top 10 plays on 11 Jan 2016

His FA Cup goal against Spurs came in at number 6 (IIRC).

 

I watch the Sportscenter Top 10 almost every morning, and I have never before seen a Leicester City play be featured in the list.  I have searched for a copy of it online, but I cannot find the video anywhere.

My parents, who couldn't give two sh*ts about Leicester other than that I care, watched the FA Cup game and commented "that Japanese player scored a really impressive goal" on our phone call that afternoon. Nice to see some publicity here in the States.

Shinji "The Postman" Okazaki, he always strikes twice... and delivers

 

One of my favourite LCFC players. I love his never-give-up attitude, always smiles and every time he plays he leaves his heart on the pitch. So what if he falls over more often than any other player   (he's winning fouls and sometimes even penalties doing that btw) He's making a positive impact on the game and thats what counts for me. He even wins some headers which is quite an impressive feat for a guy of his stature, maybe he should teach Leo a trick or two, because the Argentinian seems to have forgotten.a bit about that  Way to go Shinji!

I have just googled it and I have to say that Okazaki juste a great job out of this occasion. It is a shame he does not put it in one go.

He tried to poke it through the Keepers Legs the first time. But his movement to create the space for himself was absolute class. He's growing in my estimation every week, he seems to have found his way now in the Premiership. Long may it continue.
