davieG Posted 14 September 2005 Posted 14 September 2005 Chavdar Yankow scored with stitches PAINFUL TACKLE FOR PLAYER A footballer had to have six stitches in his penis after it was ripped open in a tackle. Chavdar Yankow, 21, sustained a three-inch gash playing for Hamburg 96 in Germany. His shorts were "soaked with blood" but team doctors managed to patch Yankow up. Amazingly, after the painful incident Yankow returned to the pitch and played on. And the German went on to score in his side's 2-0 win over Frankfurt.

cisono Posted 14 September 2005 Posted 14 September 2005 just like to point out that scar tissue doesn't stretch, now that's gonna hurt WARNING: DO NOT READ IF YOU CANNOT STAND PAIN OR IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT CHILDBIRTH I don't think that's the worst bit, somehow (the stitched bit may well stay inflexible, but the rest will keep its flexibility. He had a few stitches in a quite sensitive spot... Do you know how many women have to have dozens of stitches after giving birth (as if that was not testing enough)? (I am told the sawing up takes at least half an hour, but often around one hour...). On top of that, of course, the area stays painfully sore for weeks... PS: Sorry if it's too much info for some of you guys... (and girls)
cisono Posted 14 September 2005 Posted 14 September 2005 Why WASN'T he wearing them btw? I thought it was standard for professional footballers?

cisono Posted 14 September 2005 Posted 14 September 2005 just like to point out that scar tissue doesn't stretch, now that's gonna hurt Only for a time... perhaps a couple of weeks? He'd be well advised to avoid any... "stretching" for that period of time!
