Hitesh Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 McFeckin Fech! The poll didnt work!!!!! But anyway....your feelings please!
Bert Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 A good point imo, i as many others did had expected us to lose today, so in that respect it is good, we didn't win but we didn't lose so it isn't all that bad! A good Point.

A good Point. I have to agree with you there! We all knew it would be tough and some would say many were being too pesemistic but you have to be realistic at the same time. I think we did well to get a point. And i think we must have defended well to an extent. I wouldnt have seen us get much out of the game had we gone 1-0 down because we were playing defensive. So on a whole, i would say a good defensive job. Now im gonna do a Levein here and look to the postives out of the draw! We need to build on this decent result. A good thrashing against Blackpool would be good for the strikers and morale as a whole but then again we could get carried away next week. So we need to build good performances and gain consistency. Even if we get a few draws on the bounce, we still pick up points instead of losing and if we continue to play well give it a few games we will start winning games. we need a long unbeaten run IMO. In recent games we have won or drawn but then not carried the result into the next game and have ended up playing poorly. But hopefully this trend will change! Exactly, most people though we'd lose yet some still moan. I dont understand the logic in that!!! We need to get behind the team whatever the result, and i dont see how moaning will get us anywhere. Ok, i agree with people having and voicing their opinions but to moan straight away after a decent result i cant understand that. It wasnt or at least didnt sound like the best of performances or the most attacking performance but we didnt lose!!
Shauno45 Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 Wolves are playoff contenders, we aint, good point, never expected a win as we dont really get wins at molineux. with the backing of the inpatient fans n given the time im sure we will build a good enough squad in the coming seasons. i hope!, i think 7 players that played today are new this season, douglas, johansson, sylla, kisnorbo, hammill, hammond, hume?
Mark Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 I would have took a point beforehand but a few shots would have been nice to go with it after paying £27. I hate 4-5-1.
cisono Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 I hate 4-5-1. Do you hate 4-5-1 in general or was this particular one that didn't work for you?
Libertine Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 Do you hate 4-5-1 in general or was this particular one that didn't work for you? In general, Mr C has made his feelings known on 4-5-1 numerous times before.
Mark Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 Do you hate 4-5-1 in general or was this particular one that didn't work for you? Every team that has played it in the past but especially the beginning of this season in the Premiership has come very close to boring me to death. Bolton and Blackburn are the most guilty teams, Everton are up their too. I hated the thought of us going onto playing it, and after the exciting start to the season.. a month later and we actually look a completely different team to the one that started the season in August. I wouldn't say it's a positive change either. Ah well, three home games now to hopfeully get some of our attacking play back.

Hmm I guess we started trying to play good football, got scared about the bad results and packed it in. From now on (and Levein makes it clear in today's interview), securing the result comes first and then and only then trying to be entertaining. Guess you won't be liking the rest of the season then!
spirefox Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 Todays result was quite satisfactory-for a team in transition,a team that is being fundamentally restructured and a team that has yet to put out its strongest 11.I know that patience is an unfashionable concept but some of the infantile whingeing on here is getting my goat.
cisono Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 In general, Mr C has made his feelings known on 4-5-1 numerous times before. I may not have been around at the time... but I got that impression
BenFilbert Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 Good result. Didn't go to the game, glad i didn't. It sounded so boring.
Thracian Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 Good result. Didn't go to the game, glad i didn't. It sounded so boring. Not going to the game was certainly a good result - for you.
TrickyTrev Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 A good result but a bit shame faced about the way we obtained it. No team will ever achieve promotion settign up for the 0-0 draw before the game has started and it shows a firghtful lack of ambition so early on in the season.
rossporterlc Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 solid performance i feel, i might be saying something different if i had payed £27 to watch it though
Gamesmaster Posted 18 September 2005 Posted 18 September 2005 good point, dont seem good cos tuesdays result
john_lcfc Posted 18 September 2005 Posted 18 September 2005 a good point away at wolves though 4-5-1 is the most boring thing ever. there must have been 3 shots on target whole game.. that said my team picked up an away point

There wasn't too much to highlight in this game!!! In fact, it was more like... LOWlights

Ric Flair Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 It was a good job I was absolutely leathered and don't really remember much of the match. For fans that didn't go it's a good result, for the fans that were unfortunate to go will disagree. A point is always decent away from home but when we only had one shot it's painful to stomach. £27 ticket £10 train ticket £35 on beer and food £72 day out, plus another £50 on ale and shiit on saturday night. £122 to not remember much, amazing
Katy Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 I honestly dont know how people can afford that week in, week out. I bloody commend you but when you work it all out over a season if I did that id be bloody bankrupt!

I bloody commend you but when you work it all out over a season if I did that id be bloody bankrupt! That's my first away match for ages. I couldn't afford to do it every month, let alone every week. It was a good day out and I enjoyed it, but the football match ruined it abit. Bernie cheered me up though, legend.

Its a crap state of affairs when the actual reason you are doing all this is the worse part of it. When we went to Hull on the train, the game was shit lets face it but the actual day its self was cracking! As for Bernie - I think Lisa will disagree with you there
