The biggest room's not too bad as some of it is starting to come away from the wall so I'm hopeful

Years ago, I remember seeing some kind of liquid wallpaper stripper - iirc, it was applied to the paper with a brush. Have you ever seen/used it, Webbo? Is it any good?

I've just fitted a new machine, and it was a simple case of screwing down the fitment that comes on the end of the inlet pipe. The water outlet pipe fitted into a built-in receptor in the waste pipe under the sink. It was literally a two minute job.
davieG Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 So you want someone to take the plug off, feed the cable past the pipe, refit the plug, plug into socket. If this is the case I presume you don't know how to wire up a plug.

Rincewind Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 TBH I would be no good at installing a washing machine. I am not even sure the plumber that fitted mine did a great job. If i put it on the warmer wash it does not go through all the cycles and carries on filling when it is spinning meaning if I do not watch it the kitchen can be flooded.

More likely that it's a faulty machine.

Rincewind Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 It empties ok on quick wash. It was new when I got it. Never got round to having it checked. may get a new one now anyway. I just dare not leave it because I was told if it happens again I would be charged for damage. It leaks to the passageway. So even with a new one I would be wary. I also need my boiler checking. The meter is flashing 1/2. Its a combi also. Cannot reset or refill. Thought it would improve after an up to date boiler was installed but it is the same problem as my old one. It is serviced then a few weeks later it shows a fault.
