DB11 Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Mahrez winning is no surprise Just see any LCFC Facebook post and it's inundated with Algerian Mahrez lovers
UPinCarolina Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Kanté Nobody on the Interwebz cares about fancy football stats like interceptions or tackles, or quantifiable data like heat mapping or distance traveled...or, you know, actual defensive prowess.
FireFox Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 4-3-3 with no holding or box-to-box midfielders and 3 number 9s.
MC Prussian Posted 9 May 2016 Author Posted 9 May 2016 4-3-3 with no holding or box-to-box midfielders and 3 number 9s. It makes even less sense when you consider the fact that we've got three centre-backs in the selection and only one proper full-back (Bellerin). Although Alderweireld can potentially play as right-back, but this would see this starting XI consist of two RBs. Don't ask me about the amount of sense involved in these awards - it's basically just the players with the largest amount of votes crammed into a 4-3-3.

Fox92 Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Social media voting means nothing though considering a everybody in Algeria would have just voted for Mahrez. It's like when Sky do polls on Twitter to decide things. So pointless.
