davieG Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Lumbers creates special Premier League tribute ring costing £225,000 By IFrodsham | Posted: May 10, 2016 Lumbers The one-off statement ring has been created by Lumbers to honour Leicester City winning the Premier League Comments (0) Leicester City players have been eyeing up a specially made Premier League tribute ring costing £225,000. The ring has been designed and made by Lumbers, in High Street, Leicester, in honour of Leicester City winning the Premier League. It features a 5.01 carat central diamond and a yellow gold crown representing the Premier League glory. Inspired by the teams colours, blue sapphires sit on the under bezel between two small gold lions facing one another on the silver band. The total points scored by Leicester City will also be engraved inside the ring, and the number of rings produced will be limited to the amount of points the team achieves. Leicester City players will also be offered the opportunity to purchase the ring number that correlates with their number in the team. Members of the public can also purchase the ring and orders can be placed after Leicester City's final match with Chelsea this Sunday. The smaller version of the statement Lumbers ring Dominic Gomersall, managing director for Lumbers, said that the business was talking to "a number" of the players about the rings. He said: "We've made this ring because I think it's a one-off occasion. Whether or not Leicester can maintain this level of success, we want to be part of the celebration. We have a long standing partnership with the club and we wanted to show them our support. "If the owners are interested in getting one, we would be looking to reinvest the money they pay for the ring back in to the club over the next few years. "A mock-up of the larger ring is available to view now and smaller version mock-up will be ready next week." Alongside the statement ring, Lumbers is producing a smaller version of the ring with a 0.50 carat diamond, a white gold band and yellow gold cornet with sapphires retailing at £2,995. There is also a reverse version with a blue sapphire as a feature stone and with clear diamonds embellished retailing at £1,950. Two different pendants will also be produced to match the rings, featuring diamonds and sapphires, which will retail at £995. The sapphire pendant Dominic said: "I don't think any of us can believe what they have achieved. The size of their achievement isn't comparable as it goes across so many boundaries. "The success of this has to be put down to the owners and what they're doing for the city. The club has brought a great sense of pride to the area. "Claudio Ranieri is also a great statesman, and has a real grace and stature about him that makes him a fantastic person to represent the city and county."
