Been with EON for a while with no issue. Npower were awful.

being able to manage my own account online is my biggest priority and npower is good for this.

never been with anyone else though so i dont know if other suppliers are better or not.

On a slightly related note, I've always been paying way over the odds for my electricity IMO. I've racked my brains as to why this might be and then about 4 months ago decided to change the vast majority of my light bulbs to LED ones. The initial outlay cost about £250, but I've just had my latest reading and bill from e-On and my monthly d/d has been reduced by over 25%. So LED bulbs are the future I guess!!

OK, there's not a lot to choose between them but it's a mine field out there trying to find one with good customer service, good rates and no hidden pitfalls.  Had Scottish Power and the Co-op so far but there were always problem.  Anyone happy with their deal?

We are with British Gas on a duel fuel deal, it's costing a fortune! Looking for a better deal in LE3!

Are there any that don't have a standing charge, I currently use the Coop but they are beyond abysmal with their website.

Strangely enough I was talking to my mate about them last night. They'd charged him £250 odd when he rang them to find out what for nobody knew.

I can't  even log on they have a system where your email is your user name but if you change your email it doesn't  automatically update your user name so when I tried to log in using my new email as my username it wouldn't  let me in.

sent them complaint but managed to suss it out. In the meantime they sent me an email to my old email address saying they'd  put in a request  to reset my my details which will take 28 days so now I can't  log in again.

If you've never changed supplier your daft.

You WILL save money by going on uswitch or any other comparison site to find better deal. Just have your annual consumption for gas n lecy and your current deal...go for it...PS I'm with ovo energy

I don't have a clue mate, I might ring eon tomorrow and see what quote they can give me. I move in next Tuesday though so it's cutting it fine, especially this weekend being the bank holiday.

Um'ing and ah'ing at this sainsburys quote. Might give them a try and take the £30 pound early break fee if it goes tits up.

With the new legislation, you can switch to any of the big 6 (and a few smaller suppliers) in 17 days.

Rather than pay the exit fee, switch to the standard tariff when you switch, yeah it means you'll pay more for 17 days, but it means you'll potentially save £60.

I wouldn't recommend the Co-op, they don't seem to have a clue who you are, what you want and how much you owe - they send you round in circles if you try to get info. Again, thanks for some ideas.
