foxes21 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 woy hodgson: 'systems don't win matches' hope the idiot saw that incredible italian performance
The Blur Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Origi is so frustrating. Gets himself in great areas and yet again misses target. Would want that Belgian player with that rose tattoo on his neck at LCFC. Classy and quick. Nainggolan? Thought he was ok in first half but went missing in the second half. If I had to pick a Belgian player to sign for Leicester, I would have picked Ciman, I thought he was energetic and covered his flank well for someone who plays in MLS.

trabuch Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 If Vardy, Drinkwater, Albrighton and Simpson were Italian - they would probably be in a team that stands a chance of winning this competition.
GaelicFox Posted 13 June 2016 Author Posted 13 June 2016 Ireland can finish 2nd in the group I'm convinced of it !
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 14 June 2016 Posted 14 June 2016 I'd never have Lukaku at Leicester. I don't know if the shots to goals stats for him bear this out but it seems to me that even when he's scoring, he needs 4 or 5 sitters a game to net one. He has an appalling first touch and no composure. Even when he does something right he looks like he has no idea what he did.

shen Posted 14 June 2016 Posted 14 June 2016 Wilmots got the setup of the team quite wrong. How is Fellaini ahead of Dembele in the pecking order? De Bruyne was pretty poor all game too. Lukaku shocking.
filbertway Posted 14 June 2016 Posted 14 June 2016 Clattenberg absolutely loves a booking. Didn't give enough yesterday, could have been 2 or 3 in the first half alone. Not all upset because I bet on a certain amount of bookings in the game.

Lukaku shocking. It's strange, you'd think this lot would have all come through the ranks together, they're similar ages, you expect them to be well knit. They look like strangers. The Germans are all in sync, they all know the game plan, they're all well drilled. Northern Ireland, Spain, Wales, Italy, Croatia, all examples of teams we've seen so far that were very well drilled, everyone knows what the plan is, everyone pulling the same way. Belgium just looked a disorganised mess.

Belgium just looked a disorganised mess. In that sense, they're quite an accurate reflection of their country Maybe getting a team ethos is tough for them. Cliques don't usually mingle well. But Wilmots didn't do much to help them with their tactical setup. That said, I don't see Sweden causing them many problems and they might have too much in their locker for Ireland, but wouldn't be surprised to see them finish third in the group now.
foxes21 Posted 14 June 2016 Posted 14 June 2016 aswell as looking like a team of individuals, there is clearly no leaders in that belgium team. hazard as captain says it all really.

To be fair to him, he was trying to take responsibility. Constantly wanting the ball and trying to make things happen. I know what you mean though, what a difference Kompany would probably make.
