We know you've gone all native over there and like to pretend you're one of them now (unless the rugby is on) but let's not get all touchy and overly sensitive like the rest of the yanks ey?
DB11 Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 You're not gonna get a comparatively decent salary from Australia
Voll Blau Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Leicester's decent. Would happily move there myself if I could afford the commute to where I currently work every day.

We've got an OK shopping centre, a big handful of questionable takeaways, rush-hour madness, bog standard parks, sub-standard parking, a cool looking prison, I'm still surprised and disappointed that all prisons don't look like castles. I generally have the same opinion on Leicester, I left to go to Uni and could never see myself living there again, until recently. It has improved over the last decade, there are some half decent places to go out, some interesting looking restaurants and bars popping up and I'm getting sick of London. I'm a fellow Birstallion and I think being just about cut off from the city growing up and going to school and College in Loughborough I had very little reason to go in to the centre except football, to be dragged around the shops or going to Fan Club/Alcatraz/Princess Charlotte as I got older. I find that most people who went to Uni in Leicester speak very positively of it, in the same way I do of Sheffield, which in some ways is just as bad but I was exposed to the student side of it which was brilliant. Leicester isn't as bad as some on here make out, but it still isn't that great, there are better places to live in the UK and I would not swap Melbourne for Leicester.

I've done a bit of Hospitality so i'm pretty good with the skills required for that. I'm not expecting to look for a job in England by being a "one-trick pony" with just Traffic Management. On another note, IS Traffic Management/Traffic Controller an big industry in England? You'd easily be able to get a Traffic Controller job in the UK, but you'd probably need the LANTRA Highway Sector Scheme qualifications (which would be easy to get). There are shedloads of recruitment agencies that supply firms in construction / civils.
