As well as the 'year' for 'season', "win" would probably fit better than "go up", but I love it! But then my taste in football songs is not a guide to very much...

I agree with what you say about "year", flowing better than season, but then to be honest, i think the last verse could be sung on its own anyway,without the first verse at all, a shorter version, so easier to remember and get started, and can be sung repeatedly, me thinks!

i know what you mean about "win", fitting better than "go up".

The only reason i used "go up", is cos hopefully thats what we`re going to be doing at southend, and so thoght it would be quite apt.
