crazyleicester Posted 20 September 2016 Posted 20 September 2016 I stumbled across this site the other day and thought Id share it to those sad stattos like myself... http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/leicester-city/alletransfers/verein/1003 Now Im not sure how accurate they are with transfer fees as we rarely get an admittance or confirmation of how much each player costs the club these days but it is really interesting to scroll down and see the deals we were doing just a few seasons ago and how far we have come as a club in such a short space of time. Reading our "arrivals" as they put it from Season 13/14 is just a list of unattached players and free transfers. If that info is accurate we only bought one player in a cash deal by way of a certain Mahrez for £425k, twice the fee we got for Ben Marshall in the same season LOL. I wonder what there valuations are today?!! Its a great page with transfers going back for years so worth a view because its rare to see all these deals in one place. Maybe pick out some stand out ones that mean something to you and comment? I`ll get the ball rolling.... Gary McAllister Motherwell FC £255k What a player he was back in the day! Pinging passes all over the shop and his "Gary Mac" chant was among the loudest back in the day, even we only had 12k fans LOL. A quality player who was always destined to play at a higher level. Kevin Campbell Arsenal Loan You could tell he would end up being a really talented player. He scored goals for fun during his short spell for us but never really became the player I thought he would. I`ll throw in a sale as well... Emile Heskey Liverpool £14.03m Now that was one depressing transfer! As a fan I was never bothered where the player came from and wasn't that bothered about youth players making it but when we had some 18yo bashing into defenders and bursting through with pace and power to finish chances and he was one of our own, you soon get why local players are important. As much as we want all our lads to succeed Heskey was one that I really wanted to make that difference! It was a sad day when he left and despite a solid start for Liverpool he didn't really have the career I expected either and didn't get the respect he deserved, especially from so called England fans.

davieG Posted 20 September 2016 Posted 20 September 2016 There's a fair bit of transfer data under the History tab at the top of the page. E.g http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/history/transfers-in/

I was watching some old David Frost interview of Cloughy the other month and they started rattling on about Derby bid 400k for Weller when he was at Derby. Looking at your thread that would have been a comfortable record.
Merging Cultures Posted 20 September 2016 Posted 20 September 2016 Mark Blake £360,000 Portsmouth 24.03.1994 Mark Draper £1,250,000 Notts County 22.07.1994 Amazing.

Akinbiyi, Jones, Scowcroft, Lee Marshall, Wise the only decent signing was Ian Walker and maybe Rowett

E.g http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/history/transfers-in/ Weird to think that 7 of the top 10 highest transfers are still at the club, but of those 7 only one is currently in the first team, 2 have barely played, Kaputska and Benalouane, 1 is injured, Mendy and the other 3 are now substitutes despite costing more than any other player bar Slimani: Shinji, Ulloa and Musa whose combined cost is probably more than Vardy, Mahrez, DD, Albrighton, Fuchs, Simpson, Schmeichel, Morgan, Huth combined.

Mark Draper. More famous for a quote than anything on the pitch. " I'd like to play for an Italian club, like Barcelona" Well he is from Nottingham
