weller54 Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Such a huge contrast between our performances at home against Arsenal, Swansea and Burnley.. Then our dreadful performances away at Hull and Liverpool!... Think our home results will be decent throughout the season... But how many points will we pick up away from the KP?
Koke Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 The sample size is too small. We've only played 2 away games in the league. Hull was a a bit of a farce, it was almost a pre season game for us. Liverpool just overran us in midfield. We got United, Chelsea and Tottenham all away coming up, so our away results probably won't improve that much in the next month or so.

Last season we took 5 points from these games you mention and were unbeaten... Can't see us replicating that?
urban.spaceman Posted 21 September 2016 Posted 21 September 2016 Like Koke says, it's too small a sample to call it 'form'. 5 games home and away would probably be fairer to judge; even then by that point we'll have played away at Hull, Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea and Spurs which are hugely difficult places to go. Last season we only took 5 points from those places.

I just hope Ranieri has learnt his lesson. Against Tottenham and Chelsea away from home we simply can't play 4-4-2 or we will see another 3/4 put past us. Fair enough play 4-4-2 against similar teams to us but against the top five or six teams we have to forget that formation. Hopefully our away form picks up soon, it could not get any worse.

We conceded poor goals, yet again. We capitulated, yet again. Needs improving fast otherwise we're going to get hammered at Chelsea and Spurs too.
shailen Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 We played a Liverpool and United side away from home and have been outclassed by both. Think we were outclassed by both and would have found it hard to win even if were on top form. Today was disappointing in how we conceded the goals.

Should have took the lead, and that would have changed the game. The pressure was all on them. We gifted them goals today. Mind you, I agree we were outclassed today and at Anfield.
foxinsox Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 PL Home: 7/9 points 1 goal conceded, 5 scored, 2 clean sheets PL Away: 0/9 points, 10 goals conceded, 3 scored, no clean sheets Next PL away games: Chelsea and Spurs. Oh dear. At least we have 3 weeks to prepare...
