Fact your avoiding the question sums it up! He's alongside the likes of James Milner and Scott Parker.

I think you must have been transported back to the year 2014.

This is 2016, the year Watford demanded 30m for Deeney and

championship clubs are paying 10m+ for championship players.

Think your thinking of goalscorers mate.

talking watching the game yesterday with another city fan. We were laffin at the 30m a man u fan butted in. He said after this summer and a Jan sale if you say yes to less than 60m you have been mugged. He then added if it's 70m he would be happy. He added we have the best English CM in the country atm.

Cash means nothing to clubs at moment

Some of you lot are incredible.

Drinkwater is so far from overrated its outrageous.

Short memories, fickle brains.

DD is the best midfielder we've had since Muzzy - and he's getting better every season. We should be grateful to have him as he'd get into most top half prem teams imo. Don't care what he's worth cos hopefully he ain't going anywhere. Wouldn't be surprised if he's the first name on Claudio's team sheet every week. It's not as if we have a rich history of midfielders who've played for England, so that tells you how good he really is in the grand scheme of things.

Nah that was Kante, who made DD look a lot better than he is. If he's that good when where was he the season before last? And so far this season?

I personally thought Drinkwater had Pogba in his pocket until United took the lead.

He realised the rest of the side didn't give a toss, so decided to have a rest until Porto.

So.....Sell Drinkwater and replace him with Schneiderlin? Two totally different types of midfielders....Sounds like a Ranieri thing to do in all honesty.

It's just a nonsense paper story

He really is.

You just seem to have taken a big dose of contraryitis over the last eighteen months.

I'm all for having your own opinions and not blindly following the crowd but anyone for whom Drinkwater isn't one of the top five all round central midfielders in the league at the moment is having a laugh.

His radar required some adjustment in the first few games but since then he's been peerless this season.

To suggest he's not better than a Schneiderlin that barely gets a kick ahead of Fellaini at United is just infantile.

I disagree. I think DD is a good player but I disagree with you evaluation of him. Also if we rate our players in terms of importance last season DD would be about 4th or 5th - and that's a guy who plays in central midfield, he's halfway down the list. Whenever he doesn't play for England there's an utter meltdown on here as if the England manager left out Paul Scholes in his prime.

I respect your opinion on Okazaki as well but you also vastly over rate him too IMO.

And before anyone reminds me of last season, l love all our players but that doesn't make certain players better than they actually are. At no point have I said DD is average, I just think City fans over rate him a bit.

I'd argue that this season, in terms of importance, DD is 1st.
