Knowing/making news up before publishing it is manipulating the bets in a way , This is Sky, they fabricate stories all the time and look after their own pockets all the time. All they will suggest is they are reporting what they have heard from their 'sources' - not interested isn't refusing to speak/declining the job.

As soon as the news of the approach came out he went straight into a 11/8 favourite. That's to say if there was even an approach. Managerial betting is an absolute stab in the dark.
Karljohn Posted 24 February 2017 Posted 24 February 2017 It must be absolutely rock bottom behind the scenes if we have let the Don go without anyone else talking to us. He must have shit on Susan Whelans desk and then been caught having a tommy tank over the Thai video

A source of news shouldn't own a any thing bet related because they can illegal make profit and cheat the system. Is the law not going for big companies?

So Mancini comes out as the 'stab in the dark' bookies favourite... Sky then generate a load of stories and "breaking news" about us planning on meeting with him etc. Meanwhile the sister company offers odds on him to the point where he becomes hot favourite. The next day they release more "breaking news" about him not being interested. Not saying that that has actually happened here but you could see how Sky could easily make money like that.

Not disagreeing with you, it can lead the average punter into blind betting basically, for all we know Mancini could be in advanced talks with the club right now and Sky want to reduce betting on him.

Odds were around when Claudio was in charge and I think then he was fav or second fav?doesn't take much for a manager to become a favourite as much as £5 could shorten odds they'd follow trading patterns across other sites too. I hear what you're saying but cant see it to be honest.

HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 24 February 2017 Posted 24 February 2017 I will always read this threads and look forward to concrete info but until something is definite I will never believe any reports of accepting or declining. It's all smoke and mirrors until it's official.
