RowlattsFox Posted 3 March 2017 Posted 3 March 2017 He's done an excellent job with Northern Ireland but it would be a pretty boring appointment and one you'd expect to make as a Championship team. He has built his success on being tough to beat and organised, would rather approach a manager who is more expansive.

Howe will be holding out for the Everton/Spurs jobs in the summer, Rowett seems to have dropped off the radar, NP is a cultural no-no, everyone else is either proven bad or unproven... What? Koeman is doing pretty well with Everton and hasn't even been there one full season yet and Pochettino is building (as much as I hate to say it) a Spurs team that are looking like regular top 4 contenders. Under what circumstances do either of those positions become vacant in summer?

IrememberBobHazell Posted 3 March 2017 Posted 3 March 2017 I can see why the board would think of Roy Hodgson, safe pair of hands generally speaking, which maybe reassuring to them. However even if it does work out (and it may) it will be mid table dullness. Now I realise historically speaking that is still a reasonable Leicester season but to limit yourself to that is a little sad. I would rather take a more edgy appointment, a few more highs and lows. It seems with these owners we can attract the bigger names (like a Claudio), if only for a little longer I would like to shop at the posher end if we could.

She'd sound out Father Ted and Dave the Pikey King if she could I'm intrigued. What does a former gag writer for Bernard Manning and Roy Chubby Brown do for work these days? I guess Jim Davidson still needs material.

O'Neill would be a massive gamble, more so than Hodgson. I genuinely don't get how anybody could think otherwise bar a dislike of Hodgson's personality. What personality ?
