Jattdogg Posted 6 July 2017 Posted 6 July 2017 Considering our record against arsenal is well....arse.....playing them in the first game on a friday night might be our best chance to win or pickup a point.

No worries if you go by train from Leicester and return journey will be quiet too. Car journey is out of the question admittedly. It's time we beat them, or get atleast a point. Hopefully journey home will be good because of the result.
Leicesterlichtie Posted 6 July 2017 Posted 6 July 2017 It seems now that our default tv games every season are against Arsenal, Man Who & Liverpool. Will our next picks be against Man Shitty & Spurs.
hejammy Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Arsenal making some decent signings, if Mahrez also goes there, if he scores against us first game do you think he'll celebrate?

Vacamion Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 I think any of our games against Man Utd are an absolute TV banker ever since the 5-2 in the great escape season. Just like Sky were still showing all Newcastle versus Liverpool games 15 years after the excitement stopped, they think they might get a good game. Such a shame last year's games against Man Utd were both dismal and quite boring one-sided affairs.
ian_marshall Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 I can't say I'm particularly happy about the change of date for Arsenal as it'll probably rule me out with work commitments given both the distance and factoring in commuters desperately trying to get home for the weekend. I understand why broadcasters want the Friday evening slot but the PL really do need to introduce a rule whereby certain days and kick off times (Friday night, Saturday and Sunday Midday) are kept to within an hour's drive of the opposing clubs. Some of the fixtures on the opening weekend are a joke and haven't been properly thought through. Aside from ourselves the fact that the PL seemingly feel that it is reasonable to expect Tottenham fans to get up to Newcastle for 1.30pm on a Sunday with limited transport links, whilst facing severe traffic with the ongoing M1 roadworks is ludicrous. The lack of consideration by the PL towards fans who attend games in person is astounding and seems to be diminishing with every passing year. Sadly they'll simply justify their actions because fans are loyal and will make the sacrifices needed to support their team, and the PL will no doubt point to the fact that attendance figures are strong and TV viewing figures are increasing.
