Guest MattP Posted 22 September 2017 Posted 22 September 2017 My friend who works in Acton says a journey that costs him 60 quid in a black cab can cost him 16 quid on the lowest Uber rate. Is the difference really that great? Thus is going to go down like a lead balloon with the public.

It's basically a slap on the wrist.

foxoffderby Posted 22 September 2017 Posted 22 September 2017 Fantastic news for black cabs They have to work so hard to get a license.
ClaphamFox Posted 22 September 2017 Posted 22 September 2017 Black cabs are an extortion racket that Transport for London directly profits from. It is also black cabs that will benefit most from Transport for London't decision not to renew Uber's licence. These two things may not be unrelated.
