Brought a tear to my eye for about the 4th time that day. If I could have chosen any player to score on the day we lift the trophy it would be him. By no means saying he is one of our best players but by far my favourite ever.

I do not understand why so many posters are disparaging of such a loyal player who has achieved so much for our club.

He continues to perform, those goals from late runs into the box may be  less frequent but the defensive interceptions,that so many appear blind to,continue .

That crucial late winner King got against West Ham at home in 2015, even if deflected was probably the most important in the club's history, considering it indirectly lead to us winning the title the following season - plus it was instrumental in us staying up! Had we drawn that day then I personally don't think the Great Escape would have happened. His weighing in of goals from midfield was particularly important too in what turned out to be our 'on loan to League One' campaign nine years ago.
