Andy King - 10 years since debut

Every team needs their own Andy King. Loyal and happy to be a part of things whether they play or not. Proper stalwart of the football club, rarely seen these days where loyalty is a scarce commodity.

I honestly can't grasp the seeming hatred some people have for the bloke. I totally agree with views that he isn't really good enough (he wasn't even a particularly key player in the Championship when we came up) but the anger that gets thrown his way when he's suffering from the same tactical restrictions as any other of our midfielders, when he has been the one constant of this ridiculous few years, baffles me. He's clearly got some use and he doesn't deserve that much crap.

Andrew Philip King..... What a player he has been for the club.

He is as much a part of Leicester city and its history as anyone including walshie, the birch and even us the fans.

If you don't love Andy King then bin your season ticket and burn your replica shirt because you don't love LCFC.

If you disrespect or mock Andy King then you are disrespecting and mocking your own football club. It's as simple as that.

Makes me laugh it's the same people slagging players like Kante and Drinkwater off for their lack of loyalty that refuse to acknowledge kingys fantastic service to the club and our constantly making disparaging comments about him.

You can't have it both ways.

Alright Andy calm down.

Most underappreciated player at the club. No, he shouldn't be starting every game, but given an injury crisis, I'm more than happy that he's around to put in a decent, if not spectacular, shift. More importantly, he's quite happy too to be the bit part player who can fill in adequately; no whinging on social media, crying to his agent, demands for first team football, he just gets on with it whenever he's needed. He could be a regular starter for some Premier League teams.

Take a bow, Andy. Some of us love you. :appl:

Yeah so he stays here rather than be a starter elsewhere. That's shows what he's about if true. We all work with someone who offers little but somehow manages to cling on and that's what he does.

But at the moment whether you like it or not, he's a starter for us....

Except professional sport is slightly different to working in a call center or on a building site or whatever it is you do.

You need a squad of players to call upon even conference sides will have 20 or so player who can be picked for the first team.

King started 23 games last year he's started 3 already this year. Not sure that's clinging on.

At worst Andy King is a good squad player who is steady when called upon and won't start sulking when he is not in the team.

At best he is a record breaking, club legend. A leader on and off the pitch a model professional who has won the lot.

Why you feel the need to try and pick fault is completely beyond me.

He is the clubs most decorated player, he will always be a legend and history will be forever kind. He has scored some of the most important goals in our history and is our top goalscoring midfielder of all time. He has been an integral  player from our lowest point in history right through to our highest.
