IMO It's clear Shakey, Ranieri, Pearson et al had too many loyalties to players who are due for replacement.

What excites me about Puel is he gives youth a chance. This could finally be the season that Gray, Chilwell etc. break through to the starting eleven.

That's all we are saying, is give youth a chance! Everybody's talking bout it.

I am amazed 70% of Foxestalk believe in a rebuild as the direction for the club to take in order to achieve success!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the the system which we play, so long as high tempo and pressing. People allude to this as making us a "one trick pony". We seem to forget this to our detriment. I personally want to keep our style of play, if you look at Atletico Madrid they play the same only with better players. We need to aspire to that standard and with Iborra and Silva it now appears that we are going in the right direction. We are not going to get Simeone but getting Wagner would I believe allow us to continue what we started.

Being different is not s bad thing, take a look at Saracens (Rugby Union) they play high tempo in there opponents half and feed off other teams mistakes, no other team plays this way, they have won 2 European Championship in the last 2 years and are favourite to win it again this year.

We only play "hoof ball" when we forget what makes this club tick, Shakey and Ranieri made that mistake, changing our style would make us one of the "also rans", I believe we are better than that and 70% of us I feel need to understand this.

Definitely this. I assume this was written before the appointment, but still relevant.

i hate the hoofball, but at it's best our style is what gives us the edge compared with the other mid/lower table wannabes who try to play possession football but can't afford the quality to do it properly.

In the title season it wasn't just ball over the top to no one, it was the judicious through ball, the well placed ball over the top, the surging run from midfield, the high press constantly applied when not in possession, all sprinkled with some stunning passing moves on occasion.

What only needs changing is sorting the midfield out, which has been critisised here and there.

But also, need to carry on with the momentum of the past couple of games and enforce the offensive style that led the team to the PM trophy. That definitely has to be the team's DNA again, as it's proved the most-effectivrly way of getting decent results.

I think, should be still be here by then, that there's a big defensive re-building job to do to in the Summer or even in January to be honest; with Fuchs, Huth and Morgan starting to get towards the end of their careers.

Hopefully the recruitment side is at best very effective by then.

Agreed, the midfield has been the problem. However Iborra has really shone in his last couple of outings and with Silva only a couple of months away we will hopefully go from strength to strength in that area

This is absolutely the time to evolve. As has been said, we have a group of key players wrong side of 30 (Morgan, Huth, Fuchs, Vardy, Okazaki etc...). If they are too strong an influence, then even more reason to gradually break it up.

Retrospectively was it a mistake to hand out these big contracts willy nilly? Now too big for their boots, and no incentive to climb higher financially. Though its not possible to get higher than what we did. We are victim of our own success here!

Ultimately the 30+ will need phasing out anyway. But we have very promising younger players coming through - Maguire, Chilwell, Gray, Iheanacho, Ndidi.

If you stand still in the Premier League you will fall behind. We have stood still in some respect - teams know how to play us now.

If we don't evolve (not a wholescale clearout) we are in danger of alienating those talented younger players, and they might go - Chilwell and Gray have come close to leaving haven't they.

The alternative is fielding Morgan when he's 37, and even more of carthorse than he is now (sorry big man).

Don't cry that it's over, celebrate that it happened! Or something like that.

It amazes me how so many people assume the inner workings of a business and how it's personnel operate within the framework set out by the owners and powers that be.

I don't even understand the inner workings of the business that pays my wages let alone a business I have no affiliation to, other than support the players that kick a ball around.

Let's just sit back and see what happens, give the new guy a chance before we write him off and get behind the lads, Sunday is a new slate for everyone, let's try to embrace it

Although I agree there does have to be a changing of the guard you have to be careful because looking at our frontline we offer nothing if vardy isnt playing. At the back I think it's different I'd like to see us use dragovic more - whether that's in a 442 or 3 at the back. Atm we are limited in options in midfield - how long is james out for? Can we recall mendy? And the silva situation. I do feel more confident having an experienced manager in puel than having cs here. There does have to be a fine balance between getting younger players in and keeping exp players in.

Midfield is our weak point. Sort that out and we'll start moving up the table.

Also, get shot of he deadwood - those who are not in contention and unlikely to get a run in the first team.

All systems are only good if you have the right players to perform in them. We don't currently have those players as our best and most important two previous proponents of that style have moved on. Whether intentionally or not, we are now left with and have bought players that would be more suited to a different style and formation. We were unique for one season.

I voted yes, but all that really needs to change is for our manager to be able to manage with freedom, and have who he wants alongside him.

i.e snakey rudkin out.

the rest of the positive change would be natural progression from there I feel.

rudkin is so far up the owners arse, and has too much control. He’s a nobody in reality.
