He has become a massive caricature of himself. he is totally arrogant and believes he always knows best and is causing civil war amongst Arsenal fans although more and more want him to retire!. he is singlehandedly destroying the legacy he had developed at Arsenal and is a warning to all managers who pass their sell by date by clinging on to former glories. he is more of a chief executive than a manager and clearly has too much power at Arsenal where he himself is rumoured to have interviewed Ivan Gazidas for his job. the whole structure atArsenal is a joke where the manager has total power over everyone else at the club.

Adrian Durham, love or hate him, made an excellent point yesterday afternoon. 12 seasons ago Arsenal were on their way to the Champions League final, where they took the lead and put up an excellent fight with 10 men against Ronaldinho's Barca. Wenger himself has lowered the bar season after season to the point where he now dismisses the FA Cup to prioritise the Carabao Cup semi and his best chance of Champions League football is to win the Europa League (no mean feat).

When Sanchez and Ozil depart in the summer, how are they going to attract elite players to get back to the top four with Wenger at the helm? Arsenal are probably my least favourite club in the land, so I'm not shedding any tears, but for this guy to stubbornly carry on is just deluded.

Arsenal from late 90s 'till about 2006 were wonderful to watch. Remember seeing them live at our place during their unbeaten season with the likes of Cole, Pires, Bergkamp, Silva and I loved Vieira - he could do everything.

It's about time he stepped down now but he changed football over here.

He’s the last bastion of totalitarian managers, he’s naive and arrogant in the extreme. Other managers delegate but he has to have his finger in all the pies, he revolutionised English football and now he’s being left behind by it. The same thing is starting to happen to Mourinho and you can see the paranoia and total lack of accountability in both.

Sleeping giant is perhaps a stretch too far but Arsenal are a gigantic club, they have the finances and the fan base but Wenger’s holding them back because he’s not tactically astute enough nor can he build a squad amongst other failings. If Allegri ends up there as (previously and tenuously) rumoured given the right support they could be a force again.

I dont like Arsenal, so I hope Wenger keeps the post until he schrivels away...

Crazy..but I want us to beat them, with Wenger whinging, over Puel being too English, and forgetting

French football unwritten ettiquette...

They will probably win the League or Europa Cup to save his hub but they do need refreshing on and off the pitch.

Think the main issue is they can be fragile and often looking for excuses when they don't win/draw.

Mind you 3 out of 4 FA Cup wins is better than Spurs or Liverpool have done.
