mozartfox Posted 10 March 2018 Posted 10 March 2018 3 out 4 of the old guard back. Lots of hoofing and not much else. 0-2 loss.

The last time Dragovic and Amartey started 17.9% of all passes were long balls. The last time Simpson and Morgan started 18.4% of all passes were long balls. You can keep banging this drum about hoofing as much as you want, but the facts aren't really backing you up. If you want to argue about composure on the ball, Simpsons's ability in attack amongst other things then I doubt you'll find much opposition. 4
Wymsey Posted 10 March 2018 Posted 10 March 2018 (edited) Will be quite concerned if we don't win tbh. They'll be eager to score and that is likely to give us many opportunities to exploit a uncertain defence, especially with Evans apparently out and an ageing McAuley. Raw Dykes Posted 10 March 2018 Posted 10 March 2018 Exactly the sort of match we will lose, this. A draw would be a nice surprise.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 10 March 2018 Posted 10 March 2018 (edited) 10 minutes to meltdown, I repeat, 10 minutes until meltdown. Foxestalkers to stations. Edited 10 March 2018 by TheUltimateWinner 1

You will be quoting NFL style yardage statistics next as well as what is considered a long ball according to the gospel of Babylon. Nothing you write will ever change my view on what ‘I’ think is the best back 4 at our disposal. So do not waste your time. As yes I ‘can’ indeed bang my drum about hoofing if I do wish and guess what - I will.

Not as quick or good a passer as dragovic, but he's not bobby huth, the king of nominative determinism. Edited 10 March 2018 by The Doctor 1

I've not argued what the best back four is, check my team selections they are probably the same as yours. You are just picking the wrong argument, because they quite simply aren't hoofing it much than anyone else. There are plenty of things you can pick on that is factual if you like and that I'd agree with.
