Albrighton MOTM (8)

 

4 - Kaspersky - Joe Hartish howler

7 - Morgan and Maguire - Solid

5 - Simpson and Chilwell - If we merge them, we could have a great FB.

 

7 - Iborra and Ndidi -  Did fairly well against Chelsea's midfield

6 - Mahrez - Not a great game but still behind the goal and some good through passes.

 

7 - Vardy - Scored and never stopped running

4 - Nacho Man - Can't believe it's the same player as the one who stomped WBA.

 

Subs:

6 - Diabaté and Silva -  A shame they didn't came on sooner, especially Diabaté. Like the kid a lot.

5  Shinji - meh, not the man to bring when we need a goal. So wasteful forward.

N/A - Gray

Puel 5 (stay) - Right line-up but always the same problem with the late subs.

 

Chelsea 7- I disagree with people saying that they were there for the taking. They played well and controlled the game the whole time. Kanté was immense and the cvnts who booed him can fck right off.

 

Ref was okay.

 

Watch the manager losing about 234,37% confidence from the fans.

Thought Iborra, Maguire, Chilwell and Albrighton had good games. Thought Ndidi was very good and Motm

 

If Mahrez gets motm here I'll know people don't watch the games. :D

Schmeichel 6 kept us in it before dropping us in it. 

Simpson 6 solid defensively but puel is hanging him out to dry, horrible going forward

Chilwell 4 frustrating again. Just not progressing

Morgan 5 brick wall. I love Wes

Maguire 6 fuses bouncer and ballerina

Mahrez 5 didn't happen tonight. Probably doesn't want to play for Chelsea either

Iborra 6 not great but we are so much better with him.

Ndidi 6 was fine but kante bossed it tonight

Albrighton 7 another fruitless shift

Vardy 4 off the pace tonight so did well to get a goal

iheanacho 2 doesn't look interested

Surprised with all the negativity, threads on players saying we need this or that. No mention of Albrighton's brilliant performance. I tend to stay away from FT during stretches for this reason.

Kasper 5 howler but Chillwell ran across him

Simpson 6 never much of a fan but not much generally came past him 

Maguire 7 pretty good

Morgan 6 not bad

Chillwell 4 want him to do well but seems wishful thinking 

Allbrighton 8 mom best for ages such a graftet

Ndidi 7 not Kante but getting there 

Iborra 7 we just play better with him

Ihanacho 6 thought he was ok

Vardy 8 never gives up

Mahrez 8 not his best but!

Puel 8 decent selection but subs too late again 

Chelsea 8 battled hard and had that extra class

Most encouraging performance, if you discount the complete and utter commitment of Albrighton and Ndidi, was Iborra.

 

Iborra made it look like we had more room, he bombed forward a lot and he played a part in the goal.

 

I’m encouraged.

Chilwell played well - what match were you watching? He was marking Willian and attacking down the wing and then having to get back to defend again.

 

You want good young players, you get them and then you try to destroy them.

 

Sure he'll make some errors and it was certain that Willian would beat him some times. That's what good players do.

 

Attackers can do nothing for a whole game apart from one good action and they get lauded, a defender (whoever not necessarily Chilwell) can have a very good game, get beaten once and they are slaughtered. I don't think I watch the same "football" as some of you.

Have you ever watched a football match before?

5 for okazaki?

I get that he isn't the most prolific but his control of the ball is masterful and he allows us to retain possession higher up the pitch because of it.

I thought chilly was decent, no.more and no less. Spurned numerous chances to play in the early ball and his cross when Mahrez played the ball inside the full back near the end was criminal. I'm not convinced about his defending either. However, he faced quality opposition and for the most part held his own.

Everyone was very average. Schmeichel cost us the game and I thought Iheanacho and Chilwell were very poor. Iheanacho did literally nothing and Chilwell ran with the ball and then had no idea what to do with it.

Thought Pawson Listened far too much to Chelsea’s whinging and whining Moses should have seen Red for 1 of those blatant elbows, thought Chilwell should of taken out Willian when Mahrez lost the ball leading to their first and Kasper made a schoolboy error coming out for Pedros goal, Mahrez was off form for quite a lot of the game Simpson left his post far too much allowing Chelsea to use his wing more effectively !

This was our best chance to make it through to a semi if not to a final thought Puell handled the team completely wrong put out the wrong side iheancho looked a sorry soul at times and was partly to blame for their First should have started with Okazaki or Diabaté behind Vardy !!

But in hindsight let’s just get up dust ourselves down and take Brighton to the cleaners next match see if we can claw some points on the two above us !!

Between 4 and 6 for most.  Albrighton with an 8.  Chilwell with a 2 because of his continuous supply of buffet balls to the opposition.
