Kalac's debut too wasn't it? lol

Yes, I've tried to block that out from my mind, a comfortable win that weas made less comfortable by the mighty spider Kalac.

Former fox nominated to prestigious award in his home country

DATE: 15.08.2018 /- TCF - FILBERTWAY

Former fox Pontus Kamark has been nominated to the prestigious award "visa  vägen". He is well known and a hero in Sweden, not just for football but for his engangement in charity and other social projects

The company of Kamark, Swesam, is one helping people with special needs into employment and working with a special team approach, to be able to find the key to how all of them can cover a positions in the team.

Pontus has always been a great ambassador for Leicester City during the years and it was his only club abroad. He is a legend at IFK Gothenburg and also had a spell with AIK Stockholm.

His company is offering people with special needs a chance for employment and as earlier described finding that role inside a company that can be suitable and well covered by that type of employee.

We all remember Pontus Kamark for his fantastic man marking of Middlesbrough's Juninho during the 1997 League Cup final at Wembley, being part of a team that won the tournement a few days later with that Steve Claridge at Hillsborough.

Kamark was also one of few players still playing in Sweden, PK with IFK Gothenburg, in the 1994 World Cup when he picked up a bronze medal after that great win against Bulgaria.

A number of us met Pontus at the Friends Arena during Leicester's trip to Sweden after the 2015-16 season. He was proud to be a former Leicester City player with the trophy in his hands.

Visa Vägen is a Swedish top award for companies or special people that try to be different and showing the way, as it is rightly translated into English.

Believe the voting can only be from Swedes, so all Leicester City supporters in Sweden should give their vote.

Pontus Kamark joined Leicester City from IFK Gothenburg back in 1995. He had a bit of an injury history at Leicester and played 65 league games in four years. He is also well known as a tv football pundit for Swedish TV4

Watch Tcf TV, three channels, "city-extra", "tcfone" and "retrotv".

Quite a coup for a club like Leicester to have been able to sign a 1994 World Cup hero for Sweden, a guy who was part of a team that made it to 3rd place in the US.

Quality player, very solid and reliable right-back. Ultimate pro.

He was indeed one of my favourite players - so much time and composure on the ball, not something we saw too much of in those days :)
