Staffs Fox Posted 12 February 2019 Posted 12 February 2019 I always wonder how they do these things. For example where would you class bands like Pink Floyd (Cambridge and London) and Led Zepplin (West Midlands and London)? They aren’t on the above map but are 2 of the biggest selling artists ever
hairy Posted 14 February 2019 Posted 14 February 2019 No Black Sabbath from Birmingham is an oversight IMO
Soup Posted 12 June 2019 Posted 12 June 2019 Recently spent 8 days in New Orleans and jesus if there's ever a city that lives up to its musical heritage it's this place. I went mainly for its jazz but all sorts going on all the time. Frenchman Street is its main hub with club after club booming out amazing sounds. Plus bands on the street playing impromptu sets at any time. Also if you venture out a bit there's legendry spots that have resident bands that play certain nights every week. We went to a few but Tuesday nights at the Maple Leaf have a band called Rebirth. They bill it as the best Tuesday night in the world, a little extreme I thought until inexperienced it. Even if your not mega in jazz or brass but into music in general you cannot not enyoy yourself out there.
