He played far more times for Leicester was here years longer won his first England cap and won the world cup here. Bang on. Its very strange.
ealingfox Posted 23 February 2019 Posted 23 February 2019 Just me that thinks a video tribute is better than one player wearing a shirt which doesn't even have his name on? Most in the ground won't even notice that.

Was a Leicester City player when he won the World Cup but; Stoke have his statue, and as mentioned above, more national recognition as Banks’ team. I just don’t quite understand!? He felt pushed out and apparently wasn't made welcome here many moons ago when he returned. So he adopted Stoke has his team more than us.

He wasn't felt welcome, from withinside the club management levels for nearly a decade..He always kept close to fan-groups and was respectfully towards Leicester fans and everything Leicester, and even after his transfer he did have a love for this club, but it was destroyed from the early years from c!in Management..make no mistake it hurt him,and his Leicester fans..It took years before fans got through to club management ears, that we at Leicester Should show credible, continuous respect to OUR World cup winner!!!! He still use to come to various Leicester sporting events, and spoke gladly to young enthusiastic sports boys n girls. Not just football.

HybridFox Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Have to say I got a bit emotional seeing that. And the way Birch paid tribute before the game, with every single fan in the ground on their feet applauding. It's a shame Stoke will get more coverage than us but at the end of the day, we should all remember this great man. RIP Gordon
