Season Review (Unofficial) 2018-19

Another season where we can say the tradition of an official end-of-term DVD review is well and truly over.

 

For another year I've put together my own season review based on the footage I collect. Some matches definitely more interesting than others, of course, but links are below if you want to watch online. You can also DL, too.

 

October/November was tough but I've tried to use stuff that keeps in all of the key/emotional moments without labouring it for hours. Just got to convert and upload the rest, so I'll add as I finish them.

Great work.

Really annoys me that they've stopped releasing them.

 

I used to watch my season review videos constantly as a child and it was one of the things that made me fall in love with the club before I could go regularly.

 

I know the 91/92 season one almost word for word!

Why have they stopped doing them?

I guess they're just not profitable anymore. They had bucketloads of 15/16 reviews on cheap in a concourse sale, production costs are higher and they can just stick the stuff on their website. (Someone did say on here that they wanted to do one for 16/17 but couldn't get the rights for the UCL matches).

 

Besides, the best ones are produced externally, the VSI reviews of the 1990's beat anything that Carlton, PDI Media and the club themselves every produced.

Cracking stuff mate. Do you have a Twitter or Instagram account for these? Somewhere we can use to find season review clips new and old. Would be a shame if your hard work went unnoticed. If you have share your handle so we can follow you

Hats off and applause all round for these files. I have all of the reviews from 1990 and like one of the above I play them to death.

Just tried to access the latest files but am presented with a screen asking for my hard earned British pounds as the file size exceeds the free limit for my IP address. Bugger.

I don't need it to be noticed, really. To be honest, selfishly they're produced for me anyway! Each season amasses hundreds of files so it needs to be filtered down to something watchable, though I appreciate they're quite long compared to a conventional review. Besides, it's just snipping files together in reality!

 

Just enjoy the review(s) and the YouTube channel of old season reviews (need to re-upload a couple though), that's enough!

That's... strange. Just gave it a test and it wasn't too happy when I was in incognito mode. It should work

It may have been said on here before but does anyone have a compilation of news clips, interviews etc from when we won the league?

Dunno but it's a shame. I used to buy them every season, even when were were shit. I mean, I admit I don't sit and watch 05/06 back but I do occasional watch the 02/03 season (and sometimes 03/04).

Should I have to pay to watch these? I reached the Huddersfield game in September before being told "transfer quota exceeded for your IP address".

Yes - sorry, I think I know what's happening.

 

Mega gives IP addresses 5gb capacity at a time. Once this has elapsed you either have to go premium or wait a period of hours (not sure how long) before you can download again. Totally forgot about that, thanks for patience!
