FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 So now we are a few games in, and we have all had a good look at how perez will be playing for us, does it now look like he will be our new support guy for Vardy? It could be just a case of looking for similarities but the way he is playing he will not be a number 9 for us, more of a run your nuts off and create space guy. Either way looked very good today and had a fine assist to show for it!
Shane Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 I think his long term future with us could be as a false nine. Definitely has all the attributes to play that kind of role with the added bonus of being versatile enough to play different positions. Still would like us to sign some wingers.
Nicolo Barella Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 He's not "the new Shinji", they're different players.

Totally different...plus Perez will end up Scoring more goals, with more assists. I have nothing but fond memories of Shinji, but his time has come & gone. Ayoz will bring his own character into our new set up under Rodgers, and again my favourite phrase for this forum.... Time und Patience..!! I believe Ayoz has better balance and better Eye for the quicker pass..... Plus taking a Highlight from yesterday, hes nobodies patsy, and he can bite..!!! Like Choudoury,we have needed those players with a bit of questionable nastiness in them....Huth & Wazi ,were our go-to's. Vardy can Mix it,but is our out n out Striker, our midfield now can Mix it ,und don't take prisoners. We now have,....lets say.... a "street-wiser" group of players.. If Albrighton had that Bit of nous about him, instead of trying to be clever und nice,at the wrong moment, the ball would be still Flying out of L'pool, Its realising ,either with ball or oppo Player its Now a "Have iiitttt" moment.!! Harder players can occasionally be dirty, nice players should be harder, humble, but with a Nasty moments-streak...!!
Chester Dontlie Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 He knows no Shinjitsu, so no. Regardless, looks promising so far.
Monsell1976 Posted 7 October 2019 Posted 7 October 2019 Okazaki lacked goals at 8 mill, nacho lacks goals at 25 mill, Slimani has a half decent record when given the chance at 30 mill. Either way our recruitment of strikers has been poor, strikers at these prices, or prices at the time are brought in to add goals to the team, and for the money spent, we still can’t see which striker brings goals barring vardy.
