Its a good thing, it helps a counter and forces other team to keep players back.

 

It is also harder to organise in a crowded box.

Love it. Especially if we can get Vards up there. Opposition always brick it and bring multiple players back.

I agree, it’s one thing that annoys me when we have everyone back for corners, penalty area becomes too congested and we have no quick counter attack option. Much prefer leaving a couple up allows more room in box easier for defenders to see what is happening

This was one of my favourite moments from 2015/16 season.  We seemed to use it after we had 40 points and nothing to worry about.  It freaked out the opposition.  Made them pull players back and thwarted any set piece plans they had I'm sure.

Until Soyuncu's handball on Boxing Day, we successfully defended every corner we've faced this season.

First, respectfully disagree that the OP (or the thread itself) can be rationally considered as a “moan”. 
 

Nonetheless, the substance of the post/thread is not about “successfully defending” corners but rather about setting up in a manner that might facilitate quicker transitions/counter-attacks from defending corner kicks - unless of course you can pull up another stat about how we have always scored bar one from defending corners.

LOL! The first part is only meaningful as a predicate to the second but you seem like one of those obdurate types who live to “win” Internet discussions.
