Ric Flair Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 I'm really looking forward to saturday's match, hat's off to anyone who makes the journey down to Plymouth tomorrow but i'm afraid the next match i'll be attending is saturday's. Hopefully we'll still be unbeaten come saturday and brimming with confidence. The main attraction for me next saturday will be the 'Battle Of The Wingers' between Smudger and Theo Walcott. Walcott is highly rated and is being hyped up to high heaven and the nipper has scored 3 goals in 3 starts. I, as many of you know am a big Ryan Smith fan and it will be amazing to see these two trying to rip each other to pieces. There aren't many out and out wingers in the game at the minute but these two look like the orthodox wingers of old. The funny thing is they will both be facing each other as Smudger plays on the left and Walcott on the right so they could clash a few times. Let's hope Smudger gets stuck in early doors and frightens Walcott off. I'm expecting and predicting big things from Smith once he's given a few starts under his belt and with the crowd behind him I reckon we'll see a great game on saturday. Come on you Blue Boyz!!!!! Smudger For England
Libertine Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 I heard that Redknapp has been playing Walcott down the middle, so they probably won't be tearing eachother to pieces. <_<
Head Honcho Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Hopefully CL will see what a talented 15/16 year old can do for a side!!
Guest Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 I thought this was going to be about the fireworks when 'Winkah' Wise stepped out of the tunnel?
The People's Hero Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 I'm going to be there. Wahey. Who wants beer?
Gené and Tonic Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 I really hope Wise starts, the sound will be awesome
Gené and Tonic Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 whenever we get a bumper crowd we do crap
Libertine Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 whenever we get a bumper crowd we do crap I've noticed that too.
Muz Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 I've got a good feeling. A romp might be on the cards me thinks 3-1 City. The thought of Theo Walcott tearing arseing through the middle scares me though
Guest Gist Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 McCarthy is playing well that at the mo so i think he may have him in his back pocket
Deathside Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 I'm really looking forward to saturday's match, I'm really looking forward to the beer / vodka fest that follows....Seems like bloody ages since the last session following a Sat home game
The People's Hero Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 I was going to suggest skipping the game but little miss H is getting me a ticket tomorrow. Game on.

C-man Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 If Theo Walcott plays down the middle we'll be ripped to shreds. We've never looked solid when players run at our defence since Lennon went. It causes us masses of problems, and one thing that sticks in my mind is when we lost to Forest has season at home, Alan Rogers picked the ball up in their half, ran at our defence who all backed off and let him have a shot. Fortunately, it just went wide. I hope Levein has noticed that, and will give orders to a midfielder to sit in front of the defence. Oh, and by the way, cheer for me
Bert Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 I thought this was going to be about the fireworks when 'Winkah' Wise stepped out of the tunnel? Well, if Wise does play, im sure there will be fireworks.
Javi Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Lineker started to do promotions after he got retired... Theo Walcott started when he is 16.... get ready.... Next England hero has arrived and by now he is a Saint and hopefully for long long time! The New Le Tissier is here....
Javi Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 What is the average of your attendance this season? Do you easily fill the ground? We did 32.000 every game last season but now just 27 or 24.000 depending on what game.... a 20% less than last season and it's a lot!
Anish Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 What is the average of your attendance this season? Do you easily fill the ground? We did 32.000 every game last season but now just 27 or 24.000 depending on what game.... a 20% less than last season and it's a lot! Our average is about 22-23000 - quite disappointing but hardly surprising considering the matchday prices and the football we've been served recently.
The People's Hero Posted 1 November 2005 Posted 1 November 2005 Woohoo!! Jamesie is back, Jamesie is back!! Wahey! The hero's reception I've been craving!
Katy Posted 1 November 2005 Posted 1 November 2005 Wahey! The hero's reception I've been craving! Indeed Jemima! The last two home games were a bit of a blurr for me so im up for this one and getting Birdy pissed afterwards. I think it will be a tough game but hopefully it will be in the mould of the Cov game where we played some good football and still won. Tonights game however, I think will be a different story.
The People's Hero Posted 1 November 2005 Posted 1 November 2005 Ticket purchased. I'll be sitting (standing) somewhere in E2. Until the stewards throw me out for breathing or wearing city colours. Or something. I might hibernate in the meantime so someone please wake me up Friday about 4pm. Ta.
lcfcalan Posted 2 November 2005 Posted 2 November 2005 I'm really looking forward to the beer / vodka fest that follows....Seems like bloody ages since the last session following a Sat home game Now theres a perfectly good reason to attend the match on Sat ,if ever I saw one !
