Going to struggle to keep him beyond the summer I think

I don't agree. Any of the "big" clubs would want a 'finished article'. He is far from that as was shown in games v ManC, Liverpool. I am sure he will continue to improve; in particular with regard to positioning and judgement when to make a tackle. Furthermore, I can't see City letting him go given we are already looking for another CB.

Didn’t Man City pay £50m for Stones? And £60m for Laporte?

True. Stones had established himself over a number of seasons in PL and was an England international. Laporte had shown over several seasons in La Liga he was one of the best defenders, hence the increased buy out clause which Man City met. He showed his ability last season; undoubtedly his absence for most of this season has had a huge effect on Man City.

I still think he will be here for at least one more season after this one;he must know he can continue to improve at City playing alongside Evans. Maguire would have been an obvious fit at Man City; unless their policy has changed it seems they won't pay over the value they place on a player and as he is contracted until 2023 City would need a huge fee to let him go - particularly as I said previously we are looking for another CB

Bit concerned by the way he reacted to being jostled by a Villa player tonight..looked like he was about to lose it .. Albrighton saw it and pulled him away...fearless defender but he needs to keep it under control

With Kavanagh being the referee in your game, I think most of us would lose it.

He calmed down pretty quick though and somehow avoided what I thought was a sure yellow in Kavanagh's world.
