@baldeagle what is the laugh reaction?

Explain.

Can't stand it when people react with an emoji with no explanation or reasoning. If you've got a counter argument, go ahead and state it.

Pretty sure it’s self explanatory

If my employer paid me handsomely for hanging about being a good bloke I’d probably love them too. I just find all this fawning over him so weird. I also find his apparent lack of drive to actually go and forge a real career anywhere a bit odd. Loans here and there which amount to nothing for a player of his supposed ability

Why does it's have to be lack of drive? Undoubtedly he's on very decent money with his current Leicester contract. He may also have a wife and family and think about their future. Why would he at his age want to potentially take a huge paycut just to play football at a lower level? That's not lack of drive, its financial stupidity. If he can get loans, play football and remain on similar wages good luck to him. Would you leave your job without good reason for a paycut?

I think we are also ignoring the fact he very clearly loves the club and might well be hoping to get a lifeline in the team.

Agrees with all the good sentiments but the last thing he needs is a testimonial. He's fantastically wealthy and playing fiorentina or Freiburg or a Matt Elliot XI in front of 6000 nerds is an appalling way to bid farewell.

A video, a tasteful around the pitch walkaround last game of season, and the presentation of a carriage clock from Top is the nicest way to wave goodbye to a lad who started with us at absolute rock bottom under Nigel Worthington

To my understanding, the proceeds of a players testimonial goes to one or more of his favourite charities. If you disagree with Kingy getting a testimonial just don't goto the game. Dead easy.

It’s absolutely pathetic to slate King and shows both a very short memory and huge lack of class. Hope he does well there and gets his career back on track.

Best of good fortune Andy I hope it all works out for you!

:appl:
Some of the kids on here are probably too young (or stupid) to remember the amazing season Andy King had to haul us out of League 1 and to get us back to where we belong. Bashing players like King is, as you rightly say, showing so little class or respect. We may now be in a much better place but if it wasn’t for players like King, giving it his all and never moaning or shirking, we probably wouldn’t be.
