Dingbats !

I thought @Milo's suggestion of "morning stretch" was better.

If the stretched-out word had been "Sunshine" or something, then "In broad daylight" would have been good.

But "dawn" is hardly a synonym for "daylight".....daylight goes on all day. Indeed, the daylight is at its least broad at dawn and at dusk. :dunno:

Boo! Down with @Izzy:ph34r:

You may have a point......

https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/daylight - see definition 2 (which I'd have seen more as "daybreak" or "dawn")

Definition of 'daylight'

1. UNCOUNTABLE NOUN
Daylight is the natural light that there is during the day, before it gets dark.
It was still daylight but all the cars had their headlights on.
Lack of daylight can make people feel depressed.
Synonyms: sunlight, sunshine, light of day, natural light   More Synonyms of daylight
2. UNCOUNTABLE NOUN
Daylight is the time of day when it begins to get light.
Quinn returned shortly after daylight yesterday morning.

And also don’t forget it’s only a little game Alf that gives you a clue that leads you to the answer ...   the link can of course be slightly tenuous ...     it requires you to think outside the box ...   unfortunately, you have to be inside the box to start with ...

The Vicar of Dibley, then?  It is a wide dawn after all.

Are there shadows under the text, or is it just the way the picture appears on the screen?

Now you mention it the text does have a very faint shadow/3d motif going on.  But so does the box surrounding it so I reckon it's just printing artefacts.

Was also thinking along the lines of 'long drawn out' something (obviously with the something being the removal of the letter r).

This has taken up a lot more of my day than it probably should have...

Not at all, I'm no malcontent, Baron. :D

Just too busy working and clocked on too late to contribute to dingbats - but in time to admire the genius of Mr. Facewipe (and of the Baroness, reportedly).

Here's a fine song by the Combo to help our friend the sanitary fabric to celebrate.....
