majaco Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 I think we are good. We have not had much luck recently. Today we showed we are flawed I concentration, discipline and squad depth. I know we might lose players in the close season, but if we don't , who are our genui e top players and who are strong enough for the squad? An opening suggestion: First team players: Scmeichell Perreira, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell N'didi, Maddiso, Tielemans Vardy Squad: Ward Justin Choudhury, Praet Barnes, Ienacho, Perez I admire Fuchs. I want to back Gray. Our capitulation today is discombobulating. Two Scmeichel errors and a moment of Soyuncu craziness... And Albrighton's injury... Perreira being out... Maddison and the much maligned, top quality Chilwell being injured... In my opinion, we are close to having a top quality squad but are clearly short in defensive numbers and truly incisive attacking quality.
EastAnglianFox Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 The problem isn't who we should retain, it's the keeping hold of once the bids come along. 18 months down the line, I see us without Ricardo, Ndidi, Chilwell, Soyuncu at a minimum if we don't get a fvcking grip and finish this season how we started it.
Collymore Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 Not reinvesting the Maguire money properly at the time is now coming back to haunt us.
shailen Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 I actually think we suffer from a mental problem and I'd like to see us sign an experienced player who will lead by example on the pitch and be vocal. We have some very talented players so I think retaining our first 11 is imperative but we need to get some more leaders to steady the ship when we are in positions like today.
Hales Posted 12 July 2020 Posted 12 July 2020 I think we need to retain the first 11 and hire a sports psychologist asap!

peach0000 Posted 13 July 2020 Posted 13 July 2020 Honestly think we are just a right winger away from being a real force. Players like Chilwell, Maddison, Tielemans, N'didi, Soyuncu and Barnes are only getting better and the likes of Schmeichel, Evans, Ricardo and Vardy are already at the top of the game. Only one player away and maybe some squad depth away.
