I bought some Danish endurance running socks a few weeks ago. I see they are currently listed as a black Friday deal and they're more expensive that what I paid for them!!

Well it IS that, but it's the same as any sale and there are bargains to be had amongst all the stuff that is discounted down to the same level it was at various points in the year.

 

If you're as tight as me you spend disproportionate amounts of time not buying things because "I'm not paying THAT", so when I do eventually detect a genuine bargain, the inevitable disappointment that accompanies most purchases at least didn't hurt me as much financially as it would have done
