Seems I was a bit premature in thanks for improvement in match centre videos. Palace match video.not on site until late Tuesday. Then 16+ minutes only of which 5 minutes spent before a ball kicked . With replays less than ten minutes of the match shown .I did get a chance to see the whole match on Amazon prime  and be in a position to criticise this video. Too short, and too much of this wasted on none playing time. The team line ups could be shown as one overlay over the preliminaries showing both teams. Instead of 10 minutes play we could just by this edit have seen say 14 minutes play. Still too short to give any impression of the game.,but at least 50% more.  Probably needs minmum of 20 minutes playing time to give any real impression of game.

It is n't just for remote fans like me, with Covid eveyone is remote unless they have Sky, Amazon prime or similar. I realise this was away and we have less control over the recording but surely efficient editing alone would be a big improvmeet. However commentary was much improved with players identified most of time instead of a lot of useless waffle. Am I the only forum member who cares about this ? Surely watching the performance of one's team is pretty important and showing a lengthened highlights video the day after a match is n't going to effect gates. Who said what gate ? Covid won't be here for ever.

I’m surprised the club haven’t jumped on the band wagon in terms of streaming games. I mean I’d happily pay a portion of my ST price to watch the games via an LCFC portal. Surely the club are able to steam their own games?

It also means I can listen to bias commentary and not listen to the likes of Clinton Morrison talking bollocks. It’s the future of football though, most of the games will end up being available to watch live, but I do agree those who don’t have access to Sky, BT or prime should be allowed some alternative.

Even better suggestion . Club streaming would bring in revenue even if streaming was delayed by say a couple of hours to protect gates I'd still pay to watch the full match.

Sorry about repeat. I forgot to put enough coke on my elderly. computer, and I'm pretty hopeless at computer stuff anyway.

TV rights I guess.

Football league do this. I've got mates who pay £10 per game and watch their side through their portal.

PL clubs probably don't have the right hence we have Sky/Amazon/BT.

You’re probably right as is @moore_94 which is sickening really. Luckily I do have access to all of the various platforms, mainly because I’m a slave to football...... but some people aren’t able to have that option, I just wonder if there could be something struck up between the clubs and the league....

Biased commentary. Love it. Wouldn’t it be great if you could choose between regular commentary, just a little bit biased & full on batshit biased.

They can’t show highlights until Match of Day and subsequently Sky have their exclusivity (they can/and do show the entire 90 minutes) for at least 24 hours.

This has been always been the case. LCFC dont own the coverage of their games - it is the domain of the Premier League to which they mostly likely cap the coverage unless clubs willing to pay additional sums (as per the likes of MUFC TV)

OK then, what about my original point why can't the video editing of our Match centre video be improved ? Palace game not available until Tuesday night, The goals came up much earlier , just two minutes or so so surely the 16 minutes of video  could have come up then ? Sometimes 20 minutes are shown . Why only 16 minutes of the Palace game? And why due  to bad and wasteful editing only 10 minutes of that was actual play ? Would n't we all rather watch say 18 minutes of play rather than 5-6 minutes of runnng out, standing and knee bending. Are they highlights ? Even many goals are straight forward and don't need 4 or 5 replays from different angles. OK if there is controversy about a goal then at most 3 different angle replays should be sufficient. Half the forum comments were rightly directed at the poor play in the match of  a couple of players. Anyone watching that video would n't have known one of them had come on and played , and the ineffective closing down and token challenges of the other one,  would n't have had a clue what we were writing about. Highlights are not about just goals . I think most fans would appreciate how the team performed and IMO need at least to watch at least  20 minutes ,probably more,  of actual play.but anyway as much as possible. Seeing 10 minutes of actual play some of which is replays can't give anyone a chance, altho its better than nothing.

The team in total played well ,much better than predicted (altho the opposition were poor), and should have won and showing more of that would have been deserved. I do realise it was Christmas and maybe time editing was a factor but this is happening practically every week although I thought some improvements hag been made recently. This one regressed again.

Even Youtube show eight plus minutes of play an hour or two after the match, not much shorter than the Match centre ten minutes of actual play.  Surely it would benefit everyone, especially while covid lasts, if we did a bit better than that. Its a good website in many ways but I think it could be improved in this respect.
