Can't work out why we have Eldin on the books. He's a good keeper (or at least he was at Hull) yet he's very much our third choice. What's more, we have highly rated youngsters including Iversen and Stolarczyk.

Genuine question. If we are joint 1st in the league with 4 games to go, joint on points with Liverpool or Man City.... then disaster strikes and Kasper and Ward catch COVID... do you want a keeper with Premier League experience or do you want one of our unproven youngsters?

It's tough on the youngsters I know... but it's sensible no?

Surely you could use that excuse for anything lol

What if Youri, Nididi, Vardy all got it?

Well hopefully in that scenario we get a postponement lol

“Get injured” might have been a better choice of words.

I'm 50/50 on that one, because such a situation seems the ideal opportunity to blood in a youngster. If they've got a future at a good level, they should be good enough. It's not like Iversen is a child. He's 23(?) and has been in the full Denmark squad!

I'd favour the youngster who would at least have been playing regularly in the U23s and properly match fit, while the 3rd choice experienced keeper wouldn't have played since his 45 min spell in presason. Plus when I watched Jaku a few years ago play a couple U23s games, he didn't look better than our usual U23 keepers.

Seems to be the way of, dare I say, the big clubs. Man City have Carson, Man Utd have or had Grant. Liverpool had Lonergan, Chelsea Rob Green. They rarely get used. Carson was on the bench the other day against Chelsea when that Steffan played. I guess its so that if you are down to playing a youngster you still have someone half decent on the bench. I wouldn't say Eldin is even 3rd choice now, more back up to the 3rd choice.

I’d personally want that Man City keeper who picked up a back-pass in the first couple of minutes of his debut lol

But in all seriousness... a scenario like that is unlikely and I’d rather our up and coming young goalkeeper be out getting game time and Jakupovic be sat on his a**e earning £20k a week.
